Artist and ethnographer Sofika Zielyk explains how, in time of war, pysanky can be seen as a metaphor for Ukraine and its people. Fragile, yet formidable, they are all intent on persevering and overcoming in their existential fight against evil.

Each attendee left the church hall with a colorful, symbolic, completed pysanka, continuing the culture and rich traditions of our ancestors! .
